Jamie Walters is the Director of Christian Education at St. John. Jamie, a newlywed, graduated from Concordia University in 2005 and is currently taking classes through Gonzaga University for a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership.

What do the youth do at St. John?
Jamie runs an early morning bible study on Tuesdays at the coffee shop in Palmer at 6:15 AM and will drive any participants to Colony or Palmer in time for school. This is a great way to start the day!
Youth night and bible study are every Wednesday at 7:30 PM.
FISH is almost every Sunday 2:30 - 5:30 PM. Watch the bulletin announcements for the location.
Jamie takes the youth to the National LCMS Youth Gathering every three years (2007, 2010, 2013, etc). The next gathering is in New Orleans, July 17 - 21, 2010. The 2010 Gathering theme is "We Believe". See Jamie on how to start saving money now!
The youth put on a dinner auction each fall to raise money for their events. Save your like-new items that you no longer need and donate them to the youth auction.
Each Easter the youth write and direct the Good Friday candlelight service.
The youth attend Christian music concerts each year in Anchorage and at the fair grounds in Palmer.
Retreats at Victory Bible Camp are in March for middle school students.
Lock-ins are held at various times throughout the school year.
Jamie and the youth group participate in a 30-hour fast each year.
